Your rent bank loan is moving
We’re making sure your loan continues safely and smoothly.
What’s happening
We wanted to notify you that as of June 2026, Sources will no longer be delivering rent bank services.
As such, Sources Community Services Society and BC Rent Bank are working together to move the management of your rent bank loan to Mennonite Central Committee BC (MCC BC).
MCC BC has been operating the Fraser Valley rent bank in B.C. for over twelve years, currently operates two rent banks in the province, and is a trusted partner of BC Rent Bank. They have strong financial practices and can be trusted with the management of your loan repayment.
This change will not affect your loan amount or your monthly payment amount.
What this means for you
- Your last payment with Sources will be in June 2026.
- MCC BC will start managing your loan in July 2026.
- Your banking information and the amount you still owe will be safely transferred over to MCC BC.
- If you do not repay your loan, you will not be eligible to apply for rent bank help in the future.
Why you need to give consent
We need your permission to move your existing rent bank loan and the balance owing on your loan to MCC BC. We also need your consent to transfer the personal information currently on file with Sources for those purposes.
By giving consent, you understand that:
- The balance of your outstanding loan will be moved to MCC BC.
- MCC BC will begin collecting loan payments starting July 21, 2026.
- Making your payments on time helps you stay eligible for future support.
- MCC BC will have custody and control of your personal information from the time of transfer and will manage your information in accordance with their privacy policies.
